Grounds Maintenance Operative – Full Time (Route Based)

Pay: £13.50 – £14.25 (depending on experience)

Are you someone who takes pride in outdoor spaces and enjoys a hands-on, active role?

We’re a growing grounds maintenance company looking for a reliable and hardworking operative to join our team. This is a route-based role, visiting multiple client sites each day to deliver high-quality maintenance services.

No two days are the same, from regular scheduled visits to one-off clearance jobs, you’ll play a key role in keeping our clients sites looking their best year-round.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general grounds maintenance: mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, pruning, and weeding
• Complete scheduled site visits efficiently and to a high standard
• Operate petrol-powered equipment safely (strimmers, hedge cutters, blowers)
• Use a mobile app to log work, photos, and notes
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Identify and report any site issues or hazards
• Complete daily van, tool, and equipment checks

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 1 year experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping
• Confident using 2-stroke equipment
• Full UK manual driving licence (required)
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
• Be able to pass an enhanced DBS check

Desirable (Not Essential)

• PA1 & PA6 spraying certificates
• Towing licence
• First Aid qualification
